3 steps to your
urban summer wedding #2
Location – decoration -flowers – ideas Sommer for drinks or summer cocktails
Three steps to your perfect urban summer wedding. The first article was about the do’s for your wedding, inspiration from a mood board and the colour scheme. This article is all about important details for an urban wedding location, decoration, flowers and ideas for drinks or summer cocktails.
Important details for an urban wedding location
The “urban chic” furnishing style usually appears cool but modern. Colours and materials are skilfully used, which are otherwise only known from building sites. Unplastered brick walls, exposed concrete and unpolished wooden floors take centre stage and lend the modern and the modern and extravagant style its own character.
More and more weddings are based on this style and are organising their wedding accordingly. Because getting married in an “urban/industrial chic”style is very modern.
The location for an urban summer wedding should be a mix between city and chic. What does that mean? More and more weddings are taking up the uncomplicated but stylish concept. The best thing: The term “modern wedding” takes on a whole new meaning with the urban chic idea. Buildings such as industrial buildings, brickworks, exposed concrete, factories or brick buildings are particularly suitable. The grey colours or the red bricks form the basis and these must/should not be hidden under any circumstances.
Decoration
The geometric shapes provide a good contrast to the green, colourful and exotic flowers and create a creative a creative mix of modern elegance and summer feeling. To create even more variety in the table decorations, you can use dark stick candles, black napkins and gold accents, for example. For a summer wedding or if you prefer a more colourful look, use coloured candles or lighter napkins.
In urban style, less is more. That’s why you tend to use less decoration, elements and incorporate certain eye-catchers. Elements for table decorations, that go upwards also fit very well , such as a tall metal for example a high metal stand or candlestick.
Flowers
The urban wedding style is all about uselots of plants and greenery and fewer flowers. Eucalyptus, ferns, monstera or olive branches are particularly suitable.
Of course you can also use flowers. But I would then use flowers in lighter colours such as white or cream. For a summer wedding , I would choose a stronger colour (eye-catcher) , that stands out from the bouquet, or you could design the whole bouquet with stronger summer colours.
Whilst we ‘ re on the subject of flowers, a lovely floral wreath can go well with bridal styling and gives the whole look a summery feel. I would also make sure, that the flowers are in the same colour as the bridal bouquet or match the overall concept and above all the dress.
Ideas for drinks or summer cocktails
In hot summer temperatures , every guest will be will be gratefulfor a cool and refreshing drink. As soon as the guests arrive at the venue, a champagne reception or cocktail bar is the first thing your guests will see, smell and experience, your guests will see, smell and experience. My tip: don’t skimp on the cocktail reception. So don’t miss out on the colourful summer cocktails freshly mixed with fruit.
Ideas for cocktails:
- Original ice cubes
- “Poptails” (cocktails on a stick)
- Fruits & Co (mint mojito, pink raspberry champagne, fruit punch)
- Plants in the drink (e.g. lavender, rosemary, hibiscus flowers)
- Vibrant colours are absolute eye-catchers
- Personalised champagne cans or bottles
The third and final article , “3 steps to your urban summer wedding urban summer wedding” is all about the bridal couple styling. One of the most important points and therefore the fitting conclusion to this three-part article.
